You are correct. The service document is not specific to one repository. Although many of the publically-available CMIS services do have only a single repository, there are some that have multiple. A service document can have multiple app:workspace elements, each of which can have a cmisra:repositoryInfo element. cmislib finds all repositoryInfo elements that exist in the service XML--it doesn't assume only one. I've tested this against OpenText, for example, and their service document returns multiple workspace and repositoryInfo elements.

Question not specifically related to cmislib however...

My reading of the CMIS standard implies that the service document will contain a set of workspace elements each containing a repositoryEntry element. All examples I have seen (including cmislib) seem to expect the service document will contain repositoryInfo. I am a little confused as my reading of the doco says the service document is mostly a list of repositories, whereas the examples show the service document as specific to one repository.

Any help, or a pointer to a better forum for this question is much appreciated.

If you are using Ubuntu, running Alfresco and the above examples, be sure you use the Sun version of the Java JDK. Some great steps to update to the Sun version can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/dgl3m7
