There are no formal plans for a new edition at the moment but things could change. Hopefully you’ve grabbed the later versions of the source code rather than the one that’s on the Packt site. I think the latest release I’ve got specific code for is 3.2 enterprise. Let me know if you find something in 3.3 that doesn’t work and I can help you get through it.

Hello Jeff,
I’ve been reading this book, but after reaching to 2nd part, I’ve decided to start with your book, actually i’ve just finish content model chapter, I know it didn’t change so much since you wrote the book, but I was wondering if you are going to publish a new edition of the book, maybe including more flex and alfresco, or using SpringSource Tool Suite… Thanks your blog is really interesting

I’ve thought about it but there are no formal plans in place right now. I agree that there is a need for something like that, though. It doesn’t take long on a basic Surf customization project to get beyond what is discussed in the Wrox book.

Most of the clients are requesting Share based interface and customizations. The books covers very basic material for customizing the Share.

Are you planning to launch book specifically for Alfresco Share framework and customizations?

Yes, it does cover Surf a little bit by talking about Share customization. If you’re trying to code a Surf app from scratch, it isn’t sufficient.
