It’s that time again, folks. Time to see how we did over the past year and what corrections we need to make in the year ahead to keep the Alfresco community on track.
Whether you are an Enterprise subscriber or someone who works with Community Edition, I need as many people in the ecosystem as possible to take the survey.
Why bother? Because we care what you have to say. Seriously. Many of the things we’ve done in the community over the past year have been a direct result of this survey. You told us, we listened, we executed. Now it is time to find out how effective that execution was and to see what we need to do for the coming year.
So please do take 15 minutes to tell us how we’re doing. And if the “help us help you” reason isn’t enough, two lucky winners will walk away with $250 Amazon Gift Certificates.
You have until June 15 to take the survey.
Thanks ahead of time for your feedback and good luck!
Hi,
There is one issue which I found while using Alfresco community version 4.0.0.
If a user, lets say ‘abc’ creates a site ‘xyz’, he will become the site-manger for that site.
Lets say admin joins that site as a consumer.
Admin has the right to delete the profile of any user.
Lets say admin deletes the user ‘abc’. After deleting the user ‘abc’, there is no site-manger of the site ‘xyz’, although admin is still a member of that site with ‘consumer’ role. Now that site cannot be deleted at all. Now nothing can be done with that site. Not even admin can delete that site.
This is an issue which I feel is quite big.
Rest there is a huge improvement in Alfresco v 4 from the previous versions. The interface now is really catchy with all sorts of new features like “like”, “favorite” etc.
Hi Mohd,
next time you should ask your questions in the forums.alfresco.com since knowledge can be shared more easyly there.
To your question: The admin can allways manage users and groups in the admin konsole. go to More/Groups, check “Show System Groups” and search for xyz. You will get all the site groups named site__. Just add any user or group to the group site_xyz_SiteManager and you’re back on track.
Regards
Heiko
